Burntcoat, Nova Scotia

Burntcoat is the point where the world's highest tides, over 51 feet, have been recorded.


To grasp the scale in this photo: The dot near the bottom of the cliff at the center is a man. The Queen Elizabeth II, which draws 35 feet of water could steam between the cliff and the "island" at high tide with 16 feet of water beneath her keel!
